Join us for a special Valentine's weekend Basil Hayden & Newberry Candy tasting as we welcome back Edwin Cruz, West Coast Ambassador for James B. Beam Distilling Co. who will taste us on three special expressions of Basil Hayden that are paired with unique creations from Newberry Candy.

Tasting Flight:
- Subtle Smoke (Paired with Dark Chocolate Toffee with Walnuts)
An 80 proof whiskey with mellow smoke and sweet vanilla notes and complementing spicy rye flavors typical to Basil Hayden bourbon’s high-rye mash bill.
- Toast (Paired with Dark Chocolate Marshmallow Caramel)
An 80 proof whiskey that consists of an entirely new mashbill, replacing the traditional rye grain with brown rice, which adds a hint of sweetness and a touch less spice with increased depth of flavor that comes from secondary aging in a toasted then flash-charred oak barrel.
- Red Wine Cask Finish (Dark Chocolate Dipped Cherries)
A blend of the classic Basil Hayden high-rye mash bill and bourbon partially aged in Californian red wine casks. Ripe with cherries & dried fruit, while also delivering characteristic bourbon flavors of vanilla and charred oak. Perfectly balanced.

4:30 - 6:00 PM - 16 tickets - Tasting Ticket
A Tasting Ticket includes access to the event & 60 minute private whiskey & Newbury Candy tasting + one welcome cocktail

If you can't make the event with us, you can still order the flight and chocolates to enjoy all weekend with your special someone at Oak & Iron (2/10/2023 - 2/12/2023).
The General Flight Ticket come with three one ounce pours of Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke, Toast, and Red Wine Cask Finish along with a take home box of chocolates from our friends at Newberry Candy.
Must be 21+ to purchase. General Flight tickets must be consumed on premises. May cancel for a refund up to 72 hours before event. Substitution of items may occur and is based on availability of product from the distillery.
