 Perhaps this page should be called scratch paper, it is where I try out new ideas and post pictures, in no particular order.

Wood spacers elevate the screw when changing tooling.  Bandsawed 2X4's and 1" wood.  Not my idea, found it on the web. . A friend used a oak wedge for the same purpose. 

I talked with a customer a while back and he requested dimensions on "Dig Out Slivers Knives" in Hot Shop II, pages 20-22.  Hope this helps.

Knife tang saws for enlarging up tang holes in wood and antler.  They are made by grinding recipicating saw blades to shape.

Shop made spring swage for rounding knife tangs and small tennons using a fly press.  Swage is mild steel.
Holder for round tang blades for grinding.  It holds R-8 collets  and used with lathe bored aluminum block.  This collet is 3/16".
The blade tang is clamped in the R-8 collet, a machinist square is used to align the blade vertical. I use this holder for flat grinding.
Flat tang holder fabricated from mild steel pieces.  A series of 1/4-20 tapped holes on both sides allow a variety of tangs to be held fast with bolts.
